Date and time, location shooting/catching: 2012-07-23 00:00:00, Вологодская обл., Великоустюгский р-н., Орловское поселение, грунтовая сухая дорога между деревнями Чернево и Томашево.

Photographer's comment: В этом ракурсе хорошо видны характерные ребристые "жилы" конструкции крыла. Интересна также раскраска бабочки. По важному замечанию более опытных коллег, оказывается, самцы чаще чем самки опускаются на землю. В 2012 году на протяжении где-то пяти километров я насчитал десяток limenitis populi порхающих вдоль дороги, спугнутых с песчано-гравийной насыпи нашим автомобилем.
