Eau not karma. With this kind of a case. So is the case with Saturn S. pyri and S. pavonia. I have now left dozens of pupae Pavonia 2013. Last winter, part of the left and some remained, I think in the second year. So that :)

Sadly nothing here so far ( Either pupa got to overwinter (this species could do) or just passed away.... ( Dunno. I'll put it later on the bottom shelf of the fridge..... May it happen....
