(= Deserticola (Elwes, 1900); = tarbagana (Suschkin, 1909); = radiata (Koschantschikov, 1923); = kozhantshikovi (Sheljuzhko, 1928); = ella (Bollow, 1931)).
Description. Length of front wing 10-17 mm. The male on top of the wings are blue, shiny, with an edge dimming width of about 2 mm and dark veins; a female - brown with blue hilar spraying. From below the wing of the male is light gray, the female - light brown. Drawing a contrast underside of the wings.Marginal black spot in the bottom of the rear wing angle of the anal area with bright blue scales.
The length of the valve is 2.1-2.2 mm.
Biology. Meso-xerophytic habitats: steppes, semi-deserts. Years of adults: June-August in 1 generation. Forage caterpillars: Limonium gmelinii.
Subspecies. Subspecies status of individual populations of P.cyane on currently interpreted ambiguously.
Related and similar species. P. loewii: darker underside of the wings, the blades uncus side view of a flattened branches gnathos directed dorsally.
