Ареал Erebia euryale — гористая местность от Пиренеев до Урала с Алтаем. Ламперт, в частности, приводит среднюю полосу и север России и Южную Сибирь, Альпы с Пиренеями, а также Венгрию. [85].

Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

Несколько похожа на эфиопку, но меньше ее, и не так ярка эвриала, как эфиопка. Также наблюдается сходство и с лигеей, но у эвриалы уже перевязь на внешнем крае передних крыльев, да и сама эта перевязь может состоять из отдельных пятен. Для испода задних крыльев характерны размытые глазки в окружении красно-желтых колечек. Очень изменчивый вид. [85].

Эвриала летает вдоль лесных дорог, по альпийским лугам. Часто садится на цветы крестовника и змеиного корня. [85].

Цвет гусеницы эвриалы беловато-желтобурый (да, бывает и такой), с бурой спинной полосой и желтой боковой. Голова светло-бурая. [85].

Гусеница развивается 2 года, окукливается в мае—июне. [85].
