Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

Верх крыльев черный. На передних — белые пятна, на задних — белая же перевязь, достигающая внутреннего края. Испод крыльев темно-коричневый, а белые пятна на нем повторяют форму верхних. У вида много географических форм.Ареал: Восточная Европа, большая часть Средней Азии и Япония. [85].
