  • Так же как и гусеница Thaumetopoea processionea, личинка рассматриваемого вида шелкопрядов покрыта ядовитыми волосками, раздражающими животных и человека. Днем гусеницы находятся в гнезде, ночью строем идут к месту кормления. [85].
