Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

Внешне близок к Acmaeops smaragdulus, но гораздо мельче; зеленый или серо-зеленый тон надкрылий гораздо ярче, у свежих экземпляров они выглядят травяно-зелеными благодаря плотному зеленому опушению, полностью скрывающему черную переднеспинку и черные надкрылья; щетинки слегка укорочены и расширены у середины; переднеспинка с густой пунктировкой: длина самцов: 5.9-8.6 мм; самок: 6.0-8.8 мм (указания некоторых авторов на более крупные размеры вероятно связаны с ошибками в определениях).
