  • Western China, Japan. In Russia, the south of Primorye Territory. [131].

Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • Kind of close to Cidaria diakonovi Kurenz (Pine Moth), but slightly larger and has a more general light color, with rather sharply distinguished black spot on the inner edge of the front wings on their light middle sling. The hind wings are almost white with a dark median blotch. [131].

Imago lifespan

  • Butterflies appear in mid-September and mid-October to fly in the spruce-pine and spruce-fir forests. In some years, there are quite often. [131].
