Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

Черно-бурые крылья сверху отливают зеленоватым цветом, ржаво-бурая перевязь шире обычного, зато на задних крыльях ее вообще нет. На вершинах передних крыльев — по два глазка, как правило, с белыми ядрами. Испод крыльев у обоих полов несет соответственные верхней части крыльев глазки, окрас испода передних крыльев — буро-красный у самца и более светлый, ржаво-красный у самки. Испод задних крыльев Erebia tyndarus с тремя зазубренными поперечными перевязями и с белой пыльцой на красновато-сером фоне. [85].
