L. amurensis (Staudinger, 1892) на востоке своего ареала (как номинативный подвид L. a. amurensis (Stgr, 1892)) встречается на Дальнем Востоке России (в том числе на Сахалине и Кунашире), в Японии (Hokkaido, Honshu), Корее, в Монголии, а также в Северном и Северо-Восточном Китае (Nei Mongol, Heilongjiang, Beijing). General info about Imago

На европейской части континента осиновый бражник – редкий и локальный вид старых и влажных лесов преимущественно южно-таежного типа, однако, в азиатской части – это обычный, временами массовый лесной вид, охотно заходящий в урбоценозы. [393].
