Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

Wingspan 65-75 mm. Male bears serrate edge at the upper margins of FW where its common name comes from. UN white on FW, black at apex except some white streaks and spots between veins, veins along the costal and apical borders black; HW yellow, veins and marginal border dark brown. Female is darker than in the male, HW with a broad yellow patch at dorsal area just below the cell. The seasonal forms can be observed. In male, the wsp. (The wet season form) is larger in size and with broader dark markings than in the dsf. (the dry season form). Female has darker markings especially on the HW cell in the wsf. than in the dsf. [144].
