Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • Wingspan 60-75 mm. Antennae are very short, less than one third the length of the FW, on both wings the cell is short, much less than half the wing length. FW apex produced into a sharp point process in doubledayi especially in the female, HW strongly caudate at vein 4. UP, sulfar yellow with dark brown markings at FW apex. Apex in male of parva not produced into a sharp pointed process and strongly crenulated below the apex, the latter is much smaller in size than the former. [144].
