Greetings.
Please tell me by the sound of what kind of insect. The window cannot be opened because of these chants. Make the sound louder. Geographically Minsk, today's entry.

You should have made the sound louder before filling it in. And then in the YouTube player management is very limited. But I heard something. I think, given the geography and weather, your "insect" is called a bat. But then a lot depends on the quality of the sound recording, often cheap devices distort non-human voices to complete unrecognizability.

Good afternoon, tell me, what kind of creature is this, are there any hair eaters? or a pooh-eater? Or is this photo generally not enough to determine at least the squad? Size about 1 mm, Minsk, Belarus.

Yes, definitely a hair-eater or a down-eater. And on what (who)? There is an ancient, but very effective and well-illustrated issue of the Fauna of the USSR on them.

OOO, thank you very much, I will definitely try to look in the literature, although I can hardly determine in more detail myself. In general, this vlasoed / pukhoed will find a blackbird in the stomach.

If you want, you can. The book is small (there are few types) and looks more like a brochure. Given the certainty with the owner, I think it will not be difficult.

All from sem. Raphidiidae

Victor:
freshly polished, no venation in sight

DMITRY:
1. I think Dichrostigma flavipes (Stein, 1863)
2. I think Subilla confinis (Stephens, 1836)
P.S. species definitions in my understanding of "green", what is actually happening with camels at the moment, I do not know.

Do you know what ant lion larvae are? And at what time do you need to look for adults? And then there are thousands of craters with larvae, and I've been looking for adults for two summers and they don't come across! Penza region, May 20.

Should the sand be wet or dry? In nature, after all, it rains every now and then. I had an idea to bring out the pupae, but I don't find any pupae. In the craters or maggots, or nothing! smile.gif

there is a guide for Northern European larvae, preferably of the latest instars.
You need to see the ventral side of the larva (labial palps, spots on the hind legs and head from below, but not only).

I kept it dry. Usually within a week or two they pupated, and somewhere else they came out during the same time. Once, in two weeks, the larvae did not pupate (apparently I collected them early), I sprayed the lid once and shook it off well, so that a few drops remained on it, and closed it, after about a week they pupated.

With ground insects, it's very simple: you create a constant humidity gradient in the ground, and the larva decides where it likes.
Lions probably like drier ground. For the funnels of wet - so-so trap.

Did you feed them ants during these two weeks, or will they not die anyway? Perhaps it is better to collect larvae in the middle or end of June, or in early July, so that they pupate faster and without grub?

Now about something else - and who is this, can you tell me? It looked like a cicada, but it flew like a butterfly. October 7, Penza region.

The cicada is there. Which of the Cixiidae. Possibly Cixius simplex. I posted a similar one myself on December 16 in the equal-winged section and wanted to clarify whether I identified it correctly, but no one answered. http://molbiol.ru/forums/index.php?showtopic=397278&st=300

I see, thank you! I needed to post a cicada in equilateral wings, but I forgot that there is such a topic. I have a lot of them, I need to post them - maybe they will determine something?

Good day to all! In the stomach of the finch, I found such objects, the size of 1.5 mm. Please tell me what it is or who it is.
It doesn't look like animal seeds, but I can't imagine what they are. Slightly springy when pressed with a dissecting needle. Volozhinsky district, Minsk region, Belarus.
There was a working idea that it could be varroa ticks, but something doesn't look like it.
