July 29, Pskov region.
Reverse side of a birch leaf.
Any suggestions?

A sawfly of some sort. So Nematus ribesii lays eggs, but on gooseberries and currants. And this is probably some relative of his. In the leaf of the cereal masonry, too, some sawyer (but much different) sawed. At least, no one else comes to mind who could have done this.

Laying of eggs of some lepidopteran, probably from the family. Lasiocampidae, Lymantriidae...

Orgyia antiqua

Good afternoon! Photo, unfortunately, a copy of the last year of life.
Sympetrum, but what is it? Danae? Meridian? Or the vulgatum?
Both instances of the same type? Why then is there such a difference in size?

In my opinion, more likely Philaenus spumarius, but given the poor quality of the photo-a pure guessing game.

For different friends there is a topic "who is this?"
Hemerob-he is mine, hemerobia or hemerobiida-she is mine.
This is a hemerob, I think, Hemerobius marginatus Stephens, 1836

Hello. Beetle (or not), found on April 18 on a dirt road between a field and a forest plantation without close water sources in the western suburbs of the city of Poltava. Digs - one friend, another caught on a stick.

Hello,
here I found it on a bush in the garden. It looks like small shells-hemispheres, they do not move, if you tear them off from the trunk, they are like snails from below. Ants guard them like aphids. What is it and how to deal with them? The insecticide killed all the ants, and this one doesn't seem to care...Color from orange to black, size 1-3 mm.

Hello. I started an ant farm for my children at home. Ants feed on seeds, and the husk is carried up from the anthills. In this husk, small, fairly mobile insects were introduced. Size in length 1-1. 5 mm approximately. I tried to see it through a microscope. I attach a photo. Can anyone identify a genus or even a family from such a photo? Maybe it's book lice?
The photo was taken in Tula, April 2020, but there is a possibility that the insects were introduced with ants whose native place is unknown to me.

Hello, My Friends! Help us determine whose larvae or caterpillars they are. There were a lot of them, all of different sizes, sitting on a plant like wormwood, there were adult ladybirds nearby, I took a picture, thinking that these were their larvae, but it seems that they are not. April. South of Ukraine. Thanks!

Very similar to Galeruca tanaceti, but I'm not entirely sure.

smile.gif they're not cockroaches, they're pupae. Well, we also suspected that it was butterflies, I thought maybe you can identify a specific species.

Hello everyone after a long absence! My friend Vovka Bogdanov recently took pictures under the Yutsa volcano (KMV, of course) here are these wonderful creatures from the order of Bristle-tails, or scales (Zygentoma), the family of Machilids (Machilidae).
Could you tell us about the specific/generic type?

Mission impossible. We, in the DPR, by the way, found a new species last year.
