1-2, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 13 - Chorthippus from the brunneus/biguttulus/mollis group.
5 - Chorthippus biguttulus
8 - Omocestus viridulus
3 - Chorthippus ? vagans (although it may also be from the brunneus/biguttulus/mollis group: you need to watch the tympanic organ).
4 - Chorthippus apricarius
11 - Chorthippus ? apricarius (you can't see the venation)

Hortippusy, most likely from the" favorite three " brunneus/biguttulus/mollis. By the way, the horse from photo 2 of the previous series is a female, and therefore, you got something wrong with the call signal. Here is No. 1-male.

Isn't it oekanthus? I think the nymph of pellucence.

Isn't it oekanthus? I think the nymph of pellucence.

The fact that Oecanthus is understandable, I am more interested in the question of pellucens or turanicus. How do they differ in general? What I have on the stem, you can say there is nothing, except for the pelican there is nothing.

21.09.2012 0:42, PVOzerski

Please identify these copies
20. 09. 12 Rostov region.

The upper one is probably Chorthippus loratus.
The lower one is from the brunneus/biguttulus/mollis group (only more species are added there)
Medium-because of a bad angle, you can't see the signs.

I certainly won't take it upon myself to determine, especially not on the nymph. But I once found a wonderful site for oekanthus, but I don't remember what it was, especially since it was foreign and most of the species were from America, but there was a detailed description on it.

# 2 - some kind of Omocestus, similar to O. haemorrhoidalis. Probably the same view on #10 (only the 1st one is a male, and the 10th one is a female) - although the angle is very bad.
No. 3-Chorthippus from the albomarginatus/karelini/oschei group.
No. 5-Chorthippus from the brunneus/biguttulus/mollis group.
The rest are Chorthippus larvae.

Moreover, from the" favorite " group brunneus/biguttulus/mollis/porphyropterus/maritimus/miramae.... The upper one, at least, is accurate. The lower one is a larva, which is even more difficult to deal with.

The praying mantis is similar to Bolivaria brachyptera.

Please tell me if there is a Russian name for the cricket Teleogryllus infernalis. I didn't find it in the search engine.
Thank you.

29.09.2012 10:39, PVOzerski

The search engine returns "black cricket" and (rarely) "eastern cricket"

29.09.2012 17:31, Dracus

What is the scientific name of a praying mantis found in the mountains near Tashkent? smile.gif

The genus is definitely Bolivaria, but I'm not sure about the species. In my opinion, it looks more like xanthoptera than brachyptera.

Does anyone have a photo or drawing of a Russian or steppe filly - Asiotmethis muricatus (Pallas, 1771)? Thank you in advance! A species worthy of being included in the regional Red Books??

Does anyone have a photo or drawing of a Russian or steppe filly - Asiotmethis muricatus (Pallas, 1771)? Thank you in advance! A species worthy of being included in the regional Red Books??

As far as I remember, it was introduced in some regions.
picture: Asiotmethis.jpg
As for the drawings: I sawed you out from Jacobson (1905): it may not be a super-high-quality drawing, but it should be non-copyright for years.

And in what Red Books? Maybe there is a modern image? It looks like the filly is very small? Where is it known in the Volga region?

Red-legged horse-Chorthippus pullus (Phil.).What kind of view is an image?

03.10.2012 15:56, AGG

Oleg, I have a similar filly, but I'm not sure about the type. It's about the size of a prus. If you need an image, I can take a picture and put it on display, and I'll send you a full-size photo.
