Thank you very much! The wind was not particularly strong that night, but the tent was indeed standing under the pines. And in the morning it was detected smile.gif.

"people are lucky... I just got back from a trip to the region, I spent a week in a tent camp on the Belaya River in Penza's Finlandia. In bad weather, he fished and collected erect wings intensively. In particular, I was looking specifically for pine sawtail-and mowing on pines, under them and on the sound, including at night... all in vain...
In the Penza region, I managed to collect all the superfamilies of grasshoppers and crickets, which I gave for the Middle Volga region in my article Oliger, 1970. (except for P. sosnovy and sevchuk Servilla). Moreover, I was able to add another + 5 new species to this list. Article in the press in the collection of V. V. Anikin (Saratov). If it comes out, I'll send you a PDF.

Surroundings of Kirovo-Chepetsk, Kirov region. August 2.
As I understand it, the common plate-wing is Phaneroptera falcata (Tettigoniidae).
If so, it has already reached 58°n.

I apologize, but Oe cannot be found in Bulgaria. longicauda is an East Asian-Far Eastern species. In Bulgaria, this is some kind of Oe. pellucens or Oe. dulcisonans.

Phaneroptera falcata ?? It's just that it's not entirely clear by what signs to determine: the ratio of height and length of the lateral edges of the pronotum , by the fact that the front wings should cover the lower legs of the hind legs ?
Here for example is a picture on a Macroid: http://macroid.ru/showphoto.php?photo=72809
It's hard to tell the difference confused.gif

The top two are from the biguttulus group (but don't worry about the specifics smile.gif), while the lower one is extremely similar to Ch. dorsatus (I think it is).

The upper tympanic opening is wide - I see vagans there.

12.08.2013 8:25, PVOzerski

Well, according to Beybiyenko and Mishchenko, it's a long way to vagans: it's difficult to call the opening of the tympanic organ elliptical here. For comparison, here is a picture from the monograph of 1951 and a photo from the Internet:

Hello everybody! In general, I searched myself and finally found that the grasshopper from Israel, which hides under rocks and in crevices from the tribe Drymadusini, belongs to the genus Scotodrymadusa, presumably of the philbyi species, caught in the suburbs of Jerusalem. Very curious and interesting view. I posted it myself - I determined it myself, in addition to this grasshopper next to our Anadrymadusa retowskii of the same tribe. By the way, Scotodrymadusa sings by ear with ordinary "chirks" - it resembles the singing of decticus or bush lovers, but it is very different from them if you dig into the signals, as far as I understand.
In the photos of Scotodrymadusa ?philbyi is light, while Anadrymadusa retowskii is dark and mottled.
