Thank you very much!
The term "group of species" means a super-species, I understand correctly?
I'll give you another "hint". Most of the photos I took in the country, and there I heard only two different types of filly songs. It is logical to assume that the main mass there is represented only by two species, the rest in the form of inclusions. Photos from DSCF7113 to DSCF8270 were taken on Sarpinsky Island, I don't know the situation there. Perhaps this will help with the definition.

The rest can't be identified from the photo like that?

16.01.2016 10:27, ПРИСТегнитеРЕМни

Only these 9 that you have identified?

The genus is the same, but it is a nymph.
O. turanicus is reliably recorded on the left bank of the Saratov region , but whether O. pellucens reaches east to the right bank of the Volga is an open question.
It is necessary to collect imagos from different points.

Yes, locusta, male, at first impression - the herd phase.

Well,yes, this is locusta migratoria.

So, again, is it a long-tailed grasshopper or a green one?

So, again, is it a long-tailed grasshopper or a green one?

This is Tettigonia caudata. The green grasshopper has an ovipositor shorter than the long-tailed grasshopper, the long-tailed grasshopper has an ovipositor up to 4 cm long ,and the green one has an ovipositor almost 3 cm long.

14.02.2016 10:16, сапсановый сокол

Ie Tettigonia Caudata.

14.02.2016 16:31, ИНО

Peregrine falcon, if you see the ruler in the photo, it is better not to smoke that grass anymore. What class are you in, young man? Pronounced "tettigonia caudata", spelled Tettigonia caudata (exactly in this case). But with caudata, you probably guessed right, although to be absolutely sure, a full-size picture would not hurt. Because you need to look not so much at the length of the ovipositor, but at the bumps on the legs, the color of the back and eyes, which is not really visible on this miniature. Or is it a full-size crop from a landscape where a grasshopper accidentally gets stuck in a corner?

I would very much like to define this insect more precisely.
Although local experts have already identified it as locust, the genus Acrida or Truxalis, for more accurate information, they advised you to contact here.

It was shot in the forest of the central part of Israel (forest-pines, eucalyptus trees). 13.02.2016
Insect of 10 centimeters (in the position shown in the photo), in flight - the spitting image of a mini-crane: stretched out on a string, legs stretched out, continuing the body - a straight line (length-about 2/3 of the body length). It flies fast(I couldn't shoot it in flight).

Acrida or Truxalis - more precisely, hardly anyone will say, perhaps.

I wonder if the rear fenders were patterned or not.

is it interesting if some akridas have spots on their hind wings?

Spots are found in Truxalis.

It looks like a larva of Chorthippus parallelus or Chorthippus montanus III age, but, of course, mistakes are very likely here.

Dear forumchane! Please advise me about the conditions of long-distance transportation of insects (from Abkhazia to St. Petersburg).
In the summer, an expedition is planned to Abkhazia (in late June-early July), in the foothills.
We are going to capture a certain number of arthropods, for example: straight-winged ones (dybocs, acridae, fillies and other locusts), coleoptera (ground beetles, black-throats, bronzes) and chelicerids (scolopendras, scorpions, atypuses).
Also, if someone has information about what interesting arthropod species live in the foothills of Abkhazia, it is worth taking a closer look.
I hope for a quick response! Thank you all in advance!

Yes, live. I'm going to keep it in an insectarium and presumably breed it.

Stock up on a large number of freezer trays up to 2 liters in volume (different sizes). Wash everything well (usually they are sold covered from the inside with some aramatized surfactant that is very difficult to wash off), then pierce a number of holes in the side walls with an awl (the more moisture-loving the animal is supposed to be planted, the less). For every little thing, it is convenient to use jars from a photo booth. Buy a coconut substrate (a small chip of the outer shell of a coconut) from a gardening store. The uniqueness of this material is that it is well wetted, holds moisture well, does not mold, and also that the color can easily determine the degree of moisture. In Abkhazia, it is quite humid, respectively, animals can be moisture-loving, so it is easy to dry out on a trip. For transportation, the trays must be filled with a substrate (without tamping) for 2/3 - 3/4, the rest of the space after landing the animal is filled with a napkin or toilet paper, so that there are no injuries during shaking. Moisten to the state of the substrate in which the animal is caught, you can (and for some insects - it is necessary) mix with it. Naturally, this method is suitable only for arthropods burrowing or living in shelters, for dybok with acridae will not work, there, it is better to limit yourself to slightly damp cotton wool or paper, clamped with a lid. By the way, it is important to provide them with food, unlike spiders with scorpions, they do not live long without food. Moreover, dybki are quite picky in the choice of prey, our people prefer tettigonium, they eat large prus at the extreme, and do not pay attention to any trifle at all. At the same time, I had a case of death of a dybka bitten by a tettigonia. So pre-order before departure in fully controlled conditions. For adult bronzes, the best food is a ripe banana, but for some reason they often die on trips, the larvae are more tenacious. For them, coconut is not suitable, you need a substrate of last year's dead leaves, wood rot, peat (or humus earth), which makes up most of their diet. It should also be noted that trays made of thin polystyrene (better known as disposable) are unsuitable for larvae of bronzes, they easily gnaw through them. After loading, containers with animals are placed in piles one on top of the other (which is why ventilation should be done in the walls, not in the lid) and slightly fixed with tape, then packed in a suitable bag (preferably wicker to breathe, but if it is a plastic bag, then it is necessary to cut holes in it). In general, ventilation is important when transporting more than 2 days, before this period, unless the trays are filled with insects to the top, it is fashionable to score on it. Like everything. Those who are able to fast for a long time (for example, spiders, scorpions, ground beetles) can be kept like this for up to a month without any negative consequences, the transportation period of the rest is limited by the need for feeding. It is probably unnecessary to say that predators should be placed in individual containers. I will only note that the larvae of bronzes are also partly predators, and it is also better to keep them separate.

ENO! Thank you so much.
Can you tell me what to do with the transportation of such cold-loving insects as, for example, cave grasshoppers (also from Abkhazia), if you can not take a refrigerator bag with you???

No, I didn't have to do such things.

I had only met nymphs before, very tiny ones, but now I saw an adult-a big, beautiful one.
In the forest, the light of a lantern flew in.
