Can you tell me if these dung beetles are both G. stercorarius?
The right one is from the Oryol region, the left one was brought by good people from the Pskov region.

From the Pskov region exactly G. stercorarius. There is no one there except G. stercorarius, G. stercorarosus and G. vernalis.

Take a picture of the front shins, if these are males, then you can determine quite accurately...

gstalker, at least try to cover the subject properly... smile.gif
The one on the left is not a ground beetle, but a dead eater, most likely-Silpha obscura, more precisely, some Pterostichus

29.03.2011 8:39, Alexandr Rusinov

On the left is not a sylph, but a rainbow of atratus. There is indeed a pterostichus on the right, but it is difficult to say which one. Probably melanarius.

Why didn't you straighten your mustache, Ilyusha ? wink.gif

31.03.2011 16:30, Mylabris

To Victor Gashtarov: large females are Meloe cicatricosus Leach. Defenition of Mantispid (erythrocnemus) is absolutely correct.

Maybe not Dendrophilus punctatus, but D. proditor, you can't tell from the photo. Please tell us the exact location of the toddler. If you need it, you can send it for identification.
