I have such a beetle, just from Dzungara, signed by Gleb Sergeich Medvedev, as Blaps caudata Gebler, 1845
Counter question. The label on my copy is "Dzungarian hr., Mynzhigly mountains". What is this place called at the moment, what is meant? Mynzhilgyr - it doesn't seem to be in Dzungara.. Help

Most likely, this refers to the Mynzhylki Gorge (Thousand Horses) in the Trans-Ili Alatau.
The height is ~ 3000 meters. 43*05'06.65'' - 77*04'45.16''

It is possible that Dzungarian was written to you by mistake instead of Tien Shan. To the nearest spurs of the Dzungarian mountains from there - about 100 km.
