Surroundings of Kirovo-Chepetsk, Kirov region. 27.03.2020.

Is it a Christmas tree?
offhand-engraver Pityogenes sp. Most likely P. chalcographus. But it is desirable to have a good photo of the teeth of the " men " - who have large teeth. Or see if three pairs are located approximately at the same distance (then he). In females, it is necessary to take a photo of the head in full view, i.e. in front. or smort if there is a hollow above the mouth-also P. chalcographus

Good afternoon! I found it on the bathroom curtain. Tyumen, 8th floor of an apartment building. 03.04.2020. The length is about 4 mm. Automatic recognition said that this is the Silvaninae family.

Apparently the same problem as before. Something doesn't work programmatically for them. I recommend specialized hosting services. I switched to flickr myself. You post a photo there, and here you give a link

Thank you, I've dealt with my own problems. It turns out that Moldova also has them. under the bark of pine logs. I've been finding it for the last two years. I haven't seen it before.

I also decided to show the bark beetle something.
3 mm. Dagestan, into the light. Of note-pronounced transverse depressions in the middle of the pronotum length, surrounded by protruding hairs.

Hello everyone!
Tell me, who knows - In Primorsky Krai there is something else from Dicranoncus other than D. femoralis? There are three beetles very similar to these, but the elytra is rather bronze, the whiskers and legs are completely black. On nadkr.on two noticeable indentations.

23.04.2020 13:45, KorvinBF08

Hello everyone
Please help us identify common starling weevils from 19.03.20 Smolevichi district, Minsk region. Of the Republic of Belarus. Open spaces, lawn.

https://cdn1.savepice.ru/uploads/2020/4/24/...6de264-full.jpg

Large elephant, head tube length = 2 mm, head tube length+prsp. = 5 mm. The head tube has a keel and 2 deep furrows parallel to it. A slight furrow is visible above the eyes under magnification.
I think it's sub-family. Lixinae, the Cleonini tribe of Cyphocleonus dealbatus. Please confirm that the definition is correct.

https://cdn1.savepice.ru/uploads/2020/4/24/...0447f8-full.jpg

A pair of small elephants, the material shows only their heads, heads with dorsal antennal grooves, the length of the heads is less than 1.0 mm. I think it's the Trachyphloeini tribe. I don't think it will be possible to determine any closer. Please confirm that the definition is correct.

3) https://cdn1.savepice.ru/uploads/2020/4/24/...90baf0-full.jpg

Another 3 small elephants, in the material there are their heads and, possibly, elytra. The length of the heads is up to 1.0 mm, the length of the ribs is 1.5-2.0 mm. My guess is that it might be Rhinoncus sp. But I'm not so sure about these elephants. Perhaps there are even 2 types of elephants, because 1 of the 3 heads shows a thin keel.

If it is not possible to identify these beetles, please write this.

Nda, indeed, in some cases requires a Google account, and in other cases even an error... Too bad, I thought Google photos would help. Unfortunately, I do not know your email address. Uploaded the photo to another photo hosting service. Replaced the links in the previous message. Links to each photo I checked should open. Take a look, please.

My profile has an email address.
By beetles:
1. I agree, Cyphocleonus dealbatus. I think there are no other options with an obvious constriction behind the eyes.
2. In my opinion - Cathormiocerus aristatus
3. Rhinoncus / Pelenomus heads (they differ in antennae, which are not present here) are really similar, although the presence of a keel is confusing. The elytra (if they are really from this beetle) seem rather rough-knobby, so the most plausible option would be Rhinoncus pericarpius - this is one of the most widespread species of this genus and its elytra are similar in sculpture. I also find similarities with Homorosoma validirostre.
