For weevils, this is also useful to do, especially for long-tailed ones.

And there is no photo of zlatka from below? Males of one of our most common oak agri - luses, angustulus, have bumps on the 2nd stubble .

I took a picture of it:

Hello everyone.
Maybe someone knows what kind of small black aphodia fly now en masse right in the city. Very small (3-4 mm), completely black. Without any special signs. Definitely not corvinus or variants - I have these, they are recognizable. And this little thing flies every year, I catch them a couple of pieces, but I can not determine. Maybe where else do they fly? most likely some banal....

I have not met such oO

something very small, almost 2 mm. Yakutia. possibly from the Byrrhidae. It is covered only with thin adjacent hairs, there are no raised club-shaped scales. The shoulders are quite well developed, and there are 3-4 distinct furrow-like dotted rows below them on the sides of the elytra. Suture, base and sides up to suture are black, the rest of the elytra are dark brown.
I understand that such photos are very difficult, but suddenly someone will have some suggestions.

This may not be Dorcatoma, but, for example, Caenocara, species of this genus develop in raincoats.

Tell me this is Sitona crinitoides Reitter, 1903 ? Stavropol mowing on the steppe 15.4.21 L-4-5 mm

I didn't see the crinitoides type, but I did see beetles that were signed like this. Your bug is different from them. I think it's more like S. macularius

Check for "Aphodius (Phaeaphodius) rectus Motsch., 1866" in the European part, it is he who flies in the mass in the spring (well, not only he of course, but in most cases he)

Thanks for the tip, but this isn't rectus. The rectus is twice as large as these. We will search for it...
