Good afternoon, please help me determine the thick head. Caught near the PTZ, Luzhki-Respublika 7.08.
Confusingly, there is a white spot in the postdiscal row on the upper side of the forewing between M1, M2.

I would say the usual Muschampia tessellum. This is just normal for tessellum, not cribrellum.

Euxoa sibirica? August 16.
Judging by the rear fenders, yes.

Help identify the yolks. There should be three species like, Colias alfacariensis, erate and crocea. Which of them is which? All were caught in June in the Crimea, near the village of Shchebetovka, Buran-Tash gully.

In my opinion -8,16,17,18,19,20 - alfacariensis, 14,15, - erate, 9 is possible too, the others are crocea.

Please help me with the definition of a ribbon bar. Caught this weekend (12.09) in the south of the Moscow region in the light, arrived exactly at midnight.
Is it still a banal Catocala nupta, decorated with an unusual, not monotonous pattern, or something more interesting-adultera, elocata? It is worth noting that there are not so many willows growing around the dacha (fishing place), but aspen is the main tree in the local forest.
Photos of the specimen and its wings separately:

Also Catocala nupta? Or Catocala dula, or ... please help me understand. Yesterday, Sakhalin.

Well, all the more so. Speilotis has elongated wings and a larger size. Let's compare them. I'm not sure if I set the size correctly for each other, but it seems the small butterfly is even smaller than I did. Then it's definitely not Spaelotis.

[attachmentid()=237460]

The butterfly is naturally assembled and is now located, perhaps already in a straightened form at Insectamo. You can ask her to take a picture and look at the straightened butterfly with an indication of its size.
I apologize for the late reply, I returned only today from the Middle Akhtuba of the Astrakhan region

Tell me, please, Lymantria mathura made a clutch of 11 eggs within 12 hours. This is all? Or wait a little longer. I can't find any information about the size of the egg laying area.
Thank you all.

To distinguish between alcetas and decoloratus, this does not work (in fact, the problem is only in females). See, for example, http://www.kharkovbut.narod.ru/decoloratus.html

I do not know how to distinguish females by their appearance.

if the Kiev region - then according to the maps (from the Ivy disk) there is no alcetum there, but dekoloratus-yes.
