is she one of those butterflies that fly in winter?

This butterfly flies in autumn and spring. It hides in winter, but can fly during thaws.

Good afternoon!
Today I read a book, notes of a naturalist, and one story was about butterflies that fly in winter.
And I remembered-recently, in a snow-covered forest, I met a butterfly that was crawling through the snow.
Look, please, is she one of those butterflies that fly in winter?

Are you sure about E. sororculum? It's just that it hasn't been celebrated in Karelia so far, and in Finland it only goes along the southernmost coast./ It's a pretty good photo confused.gif

Definitely not lutarella, similar to cereola, but it does not have a yellow back and the costal edge is not so curved. Yellow forms of griseola and female depressa are also unlikely to fit, the former has a uniform arched costal edge, the latter is less curved and more long-winged. Yes, and they are larger in size, although I do not feel the size well from the photo. Think-sororcula

Many species slowly but surely crawl from south to north. It is quite similar to sororcula, which flies in the Leningrad region in May-June.

Rarity status and category

is this the correct interpretation or just another piece of Internet garbage?

Rarity status and category

Category 2bg. An endangered species is
this the correct interpretation or just another piece of Internet garbage?

This is an incorrect interpretation. This interpretation plays into the hands of those who are willing to make descriptions for regional red books of any kind indiscriminately for money. This butterfly is not uncommon, wintering in basements.

Something very similar to this bear on pudica, a European species. How about label accuracy ?

Previously, there were no questions with accuracy. It is placed in a box next to other copies from the same point with similar labels...Probably really an error, although I practically don't believe that it would be from the USE of Europe.
