Isn't the first image showing a different view? The pattern on the back and tergites of the abdomen are different. Or is this not an indicator?

in mid-April, a rotten stump picked up a few larvae. together with the wireworm and bronzer, I took a few more unknown ones to see who would come out. and so, from the middle of May, with an interval of 1-2 days, such mosquitoes come out... what is the name of the striped ones ??

As a rule, this is true. Only the genera Anasimyia and Parhelophilus (they are in the photos) just an exception. In these genera and in males, the eyes are widely separated.

I will assume-Parhelophilus versicolor

So I also signed from the bottom that Anasimyia lineata( Syrphidae), male. smile.gif
And as an argument - "muzzle of the face" in the 3rd and 4th images ("Photo 3 and 4 show a prolonged mouth edge.")

The first one looks more like Anasimyia contracta.
At the second level, it is similar to both A. interpuncta and A. lineata.
This is judging by the pictures on the network. In general, shamanism... smile.gif

it looks like he, thanks to Alexeybeer.gif, just that we have neither deer (unlike in neighboring areas where they are bred), nor these "buzzing" ones are almost absent. I know only 2 places where they meet. throughout the 70 km of forest, where I visit almost every week, the localities are quite remote from each other (~30 km) and despite the monotony of the terrain, this species is found in very limited areas. just "flies" is clearly different from the "usual" our horseflies, which are everywhere in the mass.

I was just thinking. that this is our superstitious species. In theory, he also likes reindeer. We have the truth and a man with a cow does not disdain

Hatched in May from a wintering butterfly pupa, probably. Length 10 mm
Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region.

I think (but I'm not a dipterologist, really) that this is not a tachina, but a sarcophagus - some kind of Pseudosarcophaga, Parasarcophaga or Krameraea. The larvae of these flies are (facultative or obligate) either predators or parasitoids with clusters of caterpillars and pupae (as far as I know, they pass from one host to another).

But in fact, the photo does not show the main sign by which you can distinguish a sarcophagus from a tahina - that a fly has a shield under it. If the shield is simple-a sarcophagus. If there is a convex "roller" under it - tachina. In principle, there are also" sarcophagid-like " tahini in their habit.

Horsefly as a variant of Philipomyia apricashuffle.gif, a female with a clutch of eggs, gadflies lay eggs, and sometimes even larvae on or in the body of warm-blooded and humans.
