Yes, it's probably her.
That's why I wrote that in my opinion, since I don't know much about diptera, and the topic is half-dead smile.gif

Thank you for the correction!

From the photo to the view is unlikely to work. The genus is genital.
Pipiski should be studied...

Where's the onion fly? 2 and 3 (_1 and _4) - Sciaridae, and even Sciara or another genus, I don't know, 1 (_7) - Chironomidae.

Tell me. What is the name of a family of small flies whose wings are divided into two parts by a transverse fold - one part is dark, and the other is yellowish. The wings are folded first in half along the fold, and then flat on the abdomen. The abdomen is flat, well suited for laying wings.

isn't that Culex pipiens?user posted image

07.11.2015 21:04, ИНО

With those striped legs? I doubt it very much. More like an Aedes of some sort.

P.S. Although I've looked at it now, there are also such elegant species among the kuleks, for example, C. tarsalis. But this is an American species. However, maybe we have similar ones - see. But IMHO not pipiens definitely.

P. P. S. is very similar to Aedes vexans, but I will not vouch for it - mosquitoes up to a species are usually determined by their genitals.

A request to takhin connoisseurs. I was approached by an employee of the local history museum, they are preparing an exhibition for the anniversary of Gulinov Ivan Nikolaevich
.: "I caught five new species of flies-tahin. They are useful in agricultural practice, as their pupae eat the caterpillars of pests of cultivated plants. At the suggestion of Professor of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR I. D. Belakovsky (in 1946), one of the species of these flies was named after I. N. Gulinov – "faniopsis gulinovi"." Is there any information about these five species?

Gentlemen, can you tell me what kind of mosquito is currently flying in St. Petersburg in a snowfall
? Qty - not a single one. I met 20 pieces in 40 minutes. We flew right into the snow, sat down on the snow cover and in my opinion felt quite good. Photo from November 28, posted in travel reports for the North-West of the Russian Federation.
