I think you're right. The size is approximately 1 cm and looks like a gadfly puparium.

Hello everyone I am making an unusual (imho) request. I work for a company that delivers lunches to offices. At one of the delivery points, three times with a short interval, the same customer found a worm (larva, I think) in his food. The last time I was able to pick up this larva, I photographed it under a microscope. If possible, please identify the larva. The fact is that everything in our food production is in perfect order from the point of view of sanitation standards, etc.I would like to understand: the problem is in raw materials or a banal setup on the part of a rather complex client. The fact is that their business is also connected with plants and flowers. Could this maggot have been on their side? After all, in products that have undergone heat treatment, it is unlikely that it would have been preserved like this. Yes, still, unfortunately, did not measure its size, new offhand 2-3 mm, small at all. Thank you in advance!

my opinion is that this is the larva of a firefly from the reserves (there are abdominal false legs) - there can be several species.
well, it could have been preserved, some macaroni-noodles are not pounded and not very digested.
I know it's irrelevant, but the shob was "pluralistic"
