Hello! My colleagues asked me to identify two caterpillars from a photo. Taken in Moscow.

From the first one, I went to Acronicta psi using the identifier, but for some reason the stripe on the back is white, and in the description it is yellow.

picture: IMG_2312.JPG

The second one is more difficult. It seems to have turned out that this is the genus Spilosoma, but there is no certainty, and it is impossible to determine the type.

picture: IMG_2313.JPG

Thank you.

Barbel larva.

Something is confusing about the range, it doesn't seem to be found in Southeast Asia.

Here-such caterpillars were hatched from the eggs of one of the victims of a tarantula (probably some kind of scoops), which I keep in a terrarium, and, despite everything, grew to a centimeter length. Surprisingly, there are no plants in the terrarium, only coconut substrate and the remains of half-eaten butterflies and cobwebs. What they eat is completely unclear. I would like to find out more correct food for these caterpillars to try to introduce into the culture. And then with the flour fire so nothing happened.

The feed substrate is aphids. Unfortunately, it was not possible to feed them.

Good afternoon, dear experts. Maybe someone will identify up to the genus of these beetle larvae. The photo was taken in Zaporizhia region on October 16. Strongly harm irises. First they eat the roots, then proceed to the rhizome.I collected 70 pieces by hand, the largest size was 1.5-1.7 cm. Definitely not a May bug larva. I know him well.

Good afternoon! Perhaps someone will help you navigate by types. All of them were photographed in the third decade of May in Khakassia, the southern part of the Sayano-Shushensky Nature Reserve, from the Uzun-Sug River up to the border with Tuva. Steep slopes with rock outcrops. Thank you in advance!

A butterfly flew out today: http://molbiol.ru/forums/index.php?showtop...dpost&p=1898277

Throughout their lives, the caterpillars fed exclusively on the remains of butterflies that were not eaten by the spidereek.gif, or maybe even cobwebs. A couple of times I put pieces of raspberry leaves, but they remained intact. Scoop-necrophage confused.gif

Here I am surprised not by the fact of corpse-eating, but by the fact that only in such an unusual dialect the caterpillars, which are supposedly adapted to phytophagy, successfully fed. At least one of them. Although there may have been more of them, but there's also a spider...

I was out in the woods during the day, I had to pick up something. While plucking the dog rose, I found an interesting plant, similar to it-only instead of fruits there were incomprehensible cells(there were quite a lot of them).I did not attach any importance
to this already at home,I opened them(it was interesting), and inside the cells I found small(1-2 mm)white larvae that moved a little. For some reason, I put the plants in a jar with moss.I'm waiting for them to hatch,to see who it is.
But the question is:who will hatch?I didn't find any information on the Internet frown.gif
P.S. It's evening now, I found it at 7.02

If there are cells instead of fruits, then I can assume that these were galls in which there may be larvae of diptera or sawflies.
But this is fortune-telling on coffee grounds.
Polina it is better to attach a photo with an indication of the place and date.
