Thanks! Is this exact genus, or are there other possible genera?

I'd say it's more like the genus Lygus, the polymeruses aren't exactly like that. But I might be wrong here, too. This may well be one of the Psallus species, although it is unlikely..

Dear forumchane! Please enlighten an ignorant engineer in terms of all sorts of insect species. The following insects attacked my apartment in considerable quantities. Tell me harmful or not? I'm not bloodthirsty - if not harmful, then I'll convince my wife to live smile.gif(And recently, with a fright, fly-eaters brought everyone out, and as I read about their usefulness here, I was already upset). And if they are harmful, then how to deal with them. What I can say: the shooting time is October 17 of this year. Location-apartment in a new building, Khabarovsk, Far Eastern region. district.:

And how is it possible to identify fuscipinus by its antennae? In general, yes, the last two are fuscipinus, the second and first purpureipennis or pudicus.

22.10.2012 20:43, nikittokkk

Can you tell me anything about my previous bedbugs?

22.10.2012 21:48, Gansucha

22.10.2012 23:57, Triplaxxx

You can't tell them apart by their antennae, of course. And on the page of the site to which you give the link, the devil-those that are subscribed. It is not clear whether their "definitions" are confirmed by studies of Carpocoris genitalia.

There is also a determinant there: http://hemiptera.free.fr/Carpocoris.html
You just need to translate it from French. frown.gif
The translation mentions paramers and teeth on them, so the genitals were examined.

They copied the identifier from the article, so it doesn't say anything about studying the genitalia of specific specimens from the photos. In general, the main difficulty in identifying Carpocoris is to distinguish between females of Carpocoris purpureipennis and Carpocoris pudicus, otherwise this is not such a difficult group.

1 and 3 Lygaeidae:
1-Sphragisticus nebulosus (Fallén, 1807);
3 - poorly visible, I assume Lamprodema maura (Fabricius, 1803);
2 - Reduviidae, possibly Coranus contrarius Reuter, 1881, it is difficult to tell from the photo.

The dimensions are not clear to me. Aphanus rolandri should have an orange spot on the membrane, and Aellopus atratus is not shiny.

USA, Florida, Largo 55 mm

PS another question, what species of Ranatra can live there?

another question is, what species of Ranatra can live there?

I don't know exactly about Florida, but the following places are marked in the United States:
Ranatra australis
Ranatra brevicollis
Ranatra buenoi
Ranatra fusca
Ranatra quadridentata
Ranatra kirkaldyi

the most banal seems to be R. fusca

My classmate lived in Largo for 5 years, so he sent me this bug, ranatra, belastoma and some other insects.
