In my opinion, the number 1 drawback is the stand: it will not be stable everywhere. It is better to design it yourself, depending on the conditions of use.

The wheels are removed. For better stability, you can dig a little into the ground. And I want to design the sides at the edges of the screen so that the butterflies that have arrived do not fly out of the screen, but bounce off them like billiard balls from the edge of the table back to the center . Does anyone have any experience designing such sides?

In Vietnam, a collapsible structure for outdoor billboards was used to install the screen. Unfortunately, I apparently didn't take a picture of it. This is an X-shaped frame made of plastic pins and a stand. I haven't seen anything like it in Russia, though.

I think I understand what you're talking about. Here such pieces?

10.01.2013 21:56, Zlopastnyi Brandashmyg

Yes, that's exactly what it is. Of course, the stand is too small and in an open area it will probably need to be further strengthened. But it was very comfortable in the woods.

This option does not suit me very well, because to install the lamp above the screen, you will have to come up with an additional structure, or stretch a rope from above (there may not be suitable trees).

10.01.2013 22:59, Alexandr Zhakov

The most budget-friendly option, but not for the lazy. smile.gif
How the racks are used, duralumin tubes included one in one (I use a one-and-a-half set from old canvas tents). A rope of ~ 3.5 m is stretched on two pegs (depending on the terrain, instead of pegs, the ends of the rope can be attached to rocks, bushes, trees, etc.). The rope is propped up with struts so that it is strongly stretched, then each rack is fixed with two side stretches . The screen is not attached to a rope (we will hang the lamp on it), but to racks, using ropes or elastic bands (clothespins will not work).
On the screen, you need to sew a loop in the center 20 cm from the top, to which another stretch is attached, which pulls the upper part of the screen away from the vertical axis and does not allow the lamp to come into contact with the screen. For the convenience of stretching the screen, you can sew side loops at different heights in the lower part of it and attach them to the ground with pegs, but you can not sew them, but stretch them with improvised means with stones or other heavy objects.
All metal parts are preferably made of duralumin. A static rope that doesn't stretch.
Yes, I install flyers on top of the racks.
Catch carefully, so as not to get confused in the stretch marks. smile.gif

This is the key point. Touching the tripwire with your foot can cause the entire structure with the lamp to fly down into the tar-tarry. You'll be lucky if the lamp doesn't break or short-circuit.
I used the above design myself last year. I know the disadvantages. It is inconvenient for one to stretch the stretch marks, it turns out obliquely, it is better to do it together - while one holds the rack vertically, the other stretches. Also important is the height of these very racks. Preferably from 2 meters. The price for them is around 1000 rubles. This design is most suitable for hiking, because it is the lightest.
By the way, the screen, so as not to touch the lamp, you can not delay, but, for example, install a clothespin between them. The biting side of the clothespin clings to the cable through the screen, and the forked side rests on the base.

People, I'm going to cool 4 leds, the total power is 12V 1A.
Requires a radiator with a cooler. The dimensions of all LEDs on the stars are 32x32mm.
I think you need a computer radiator, such as for the processor.
A lens with a reflector will be attached to this contraption. The lens size is f80mm.

Just a ribbed radiator with an area of 80x80mm and a height of 20-25 mm is desirable, I will find a cooler in local stores.

Everything is complicated for you. It's probably easier to build a robot so that it can go around the woods and fields by itself, shine left and right, and kill the game that arrives and bring it to you. Ugh, the compact hasn't arrived yet. I decided to try whether the launcher will set fire to the CD. I took 11W from the backlight.
I'm sitting here right now swearing obscenities, thanking the Chinese for their work.
We collected the unfortunate device-this converter. We ran into it with buggy defenses.
Without protection, the batteries lasted 11W for about 40 minutes. But the problem is that we do not have boxes for 18650 batteries in Perm, and those ordered from Ibei should wait for 2-3 months due to poor work of customs.
The EPRA efficiency is high, there is no jump in the inrush current at all, which is just great, the current slowly increases, then drops to a steady value. For comparison, savings accounts have a decent jump.
It is bad that the issue with high-quality batteries and a radiator remains unresolved.
Here is a photo of the experiment

I have some questions here. I hope they don't sound silly... shuffle.gif

1. If I'm fishing in some steppe gulch, where should I put the screen?: at the upper edge of the beam slope, i.e. at the top or slightly lower on the beam slope itself?
2. Should the canvas stand opposite to the adjacent slope or in the direction of the beam itself?
3. If there are trees, is it better to point the screen at them or not?

I have some questions here.

- It is better to place the lamp in such a way as to ensure maximum visibility from afar. But if there is a wind,it is better to put it where it will be less.
- I think it should stand as it will be convenient for you to put it. smile.gif
- If there are trees, it is convenient to hang the screen on them.

And by and large, all this is not important. If there are years, then butterflies will arrive at any installation of the screen. smile.gif

The temperature difference at the top of the slope of the beam and at the bottom can have a significant difference, the bottom of the beam is colder. the difference can be 5-6 degrees on cold nights, everything freezes at the bottom, and flies at the top.

And at the top, everyone who flies will be blown away by a fresh breeze tongue.gifIn fact, everyone's question(!) the problem is solved anew, taking into account the current situation. In general, I think it is most correct to put the screen 1-3 meters below the beginning of the beam, so that you can draw animals from the beam itself and attract them from the steppe. If the beam is open from below (it looks out on the plain), then the point there is also very good...

This is yes, when the wind is better down, and the wind mixes the air, the temperature difference is much smaller.
But here, as a rule, the gullies are planted with forest belts along the edges, and the steppe remains only on the slopes and small areas of the fence, between the landing and the beginning of the slope. so you don't really have to choose.

Well, I finally bought a radiator! Enough for two luminaries. 600 rubles.
picture: ________.jpg

A new batch of 18650 batteries has arrived. I tried it. They lasted 2.5 hours with a power consumption of 10W (inverter and savings bank). Also 5000 mah. That's something. It is possible that after the second or third charge, the time will creep up to 3h.
That is, the capacity is approximately 2500-2600mah, given the protection of the batteries, which turns them off when they are discharged to 30% of the capacity.

I was still thinking of testing my Chinese dc-dc converter-stabilizer, which maintains a stable output voltage regardless of the input voltage with an efficiency of 92% max.
P1203567_1.jpg
As a result, such a stabilizer put the batteries goraaaazdo faster! Worked only 1h50min vs 2h40min from this dc-dc converter
P1203570_1.jpg
No wonder I bought the last couple of PCs.

Today I suddenly had an idea: insects are actively flying to the ground drl, so they are interested in UV and blue light. The UV compact is purchased, the UV component is there, it remains to add blue. And I have a blue Chinese 10W diode lying around, which I don't need for anything else. And since I don't feel sorry for him, I put him on self-tapping screws and thermal paste on a small radiator lying around me. Put the cooler on. As a result, the radiator is slightly warm.
The duration of the glow of this design is not yet known, the experiment is still underway, but I do not think that less than 2 hours will work.
Total capacity: 12.1 V 0.92 A or 11W.
In the future, I will collect everything compactly, fill it with silicone, leaving only the connector for connecting.
Such a light bulb turned out.

They don't need blue, only UV and visible light

Crushed DRL gives UV and dazzling white light.

Exactly these UltraFire batteries turned out to be guano?
I plan to power a 12V/8W UV lamp (tube).

That is, this one here is this converter did you demand "nailing"? Which one exactly?

20.01.2013 20:52, alex017

I pricked 125w drl. The light from them was blue, dim and there was so much UV that the huge workshop room with 6m ceilings was filled with the smell of ozone in a matter of seconds.

Do you think you should not catch on this blue sd? I just figured out where to put white sd cards, and to buy for the sake of one time to catch sd worth 65ue (10 pcs) I do not want to, the toad is strangling. I will take with me a white esl 9w (2h40min shines) and an ac-dc converter just in case.

The GTL 5300mah batteries turned out to be guano. UltraFire 5000mah just the opposite keep the ac-dc converter and 9W charging for 2h40min.

I kept kicking my Chinese converter, which you have on the link, but it turned out to have nothing to do with it. It's not even bad. Look, I compared it on the previous page, I edited the message, so you probably didn't see it. No nailing is needed, all defenses are working properly. I've already done it countless times.

Boxes are just boxes with contacts for batteries.

Listen, and not a little 8W lamp? I took an 18W uv compact here.

Box
I took this because I was afraid that the converter would kick up and turn off the 18W compact.
It's strange, something has changed in drlkah for 12 years, when I last saw her burning with a bat.... and now her burning is more like mgl, and then the glow was just a dull blue. That's bullshit.
I can take an 11W CD with me. But there is no second starter for it, you will have to light it through dc-ac and start it from the 220V savings bank.
Probably it will be even easier than with ice and you don't need to buy anything, or I'll still buy a 10-20W SD, but piece-by-piece and Chinese, and not krishki, so that I can get off with a dozen ue. On the other hand, cris will give 2 times more light at the same power.

Yes, that PSU on the link I have 2 PCs, quite decent, you can take it! Just pay attention to the kit!! The first time I took for 35ue and there was a charger, and the second time I took for 25 and there was no charger! Now I'm thinking of buying a charger, although I can make it myself without any problems from a dc-dc converter-stabilizer and a 12V power supply of suitable power (the charging circuit is inside, the power supply is only a power source). We must think....

I don't think I can find any larger-capacity batteries. 5000mah in my pure rut. the batteries are not original. I then bought other batteries from other sellers, waiting. The same ultrafire should have ultrafire written on the negative end, but I don't have such an inscription. I already ordered it with an inscription. But they are also different: 4000mah, 4350mah. The price is higher.
Here's what I ordered (three different sellers).

I don't trust savings banks very much. In general, a storehouse of UV in lamps from UV sterilizers, i.e. from those lamps where only uv works and it is clear why and how.
I took this http://www.ebay.com/itm/350518306696?ssPag...984.m1497.l2649

Today I tried to drive a Chinese converter at the maximum current for it-1.94 A and 15V. Worked for 1h17min. It seems that from a regular box for 18650 batteries, there is a chance to get a little more hours of operation.
During operation, the voltage dropped, the current decreased, i.e. the output power decreased.
The converter warmed up but not much, the batteries also warmed up.
To accurately determine the number of Ahs, you need a counter, but it's a pity to spend money on it....

Today I tried Ultrafire 4000mah batteries. They smell like shit. 10w can last just over an hour! I do not advise you to take it!
