There are several of them on this lake, and the most fertile time comes when the tadpoles begin to come ashore. Since there are no more water bodies in the vicinity, the lake serves as a breeding ground for the surrounding amphibious animals and tadpoles are bred in some fantastic quantities: along the banks there is a continuous black ribbon up to 2 meters wide. By the way, the barbecue grill is cleaned to a full gloss for 15 minutes in total, this very copy of the snake from the photo (90 centimeters in length, by the way) was observed when it just lay on the bank and lazily collected the tadpoles that clung to it. But I didn't have a camera at the time. So, there is hope for new images in the next season...
