Thank you, this is what it is literally 2 months ago determined. Posobirat is not a problem. Do you often visit St. Petersburg? I could have passed it on through Ilya Kabak, or on some other occasion.

Thank you very much, Mylabris! For your willingness to help. As I understand it, the main fees from the territory of Kazakhstan? Or even Wed. Asia manages to posherst? What are the districts? Yes! And, if of course it turns out - " trifle "( such as omalyus) don't miss it !
I visit St. Petersburg so rarely that I rather don't... Is there a connection with Moscow? With the Moscow State University Zoo Museum, for example, or with the Severtsov IPEE?
Write to me, as they say in the forum, "in the personal account" on sapyga@mail.ru Thank you
again! smile.gif

Strange, a good branch on wasps-blestyankam - and everyone is trying to push their photos/finds into a common "pile" of epaulettes!?? And why did they open a separate branch for the "American" glitters? confused.gif

The topic is very interesting, as one artist I know says - " If the glitter wasps were bigger , then they would be MORE POPULAR with collectors than beetles and butterflies!" eek.gifIf possible, I always collect, so Sergey Shibaev has already identified more than 40 species for the Penza region! In the winter, he was in Mokrousov Mikhail in Nizhny Novgorod and watched his training camp os-blestyanok. It turned out that he has something that we haven't found yet - or rather, in those sandy stations with bee colonies, we didn't look much! umnik.gif BUT IN VAIN!! Wow, it would be a faster summer! Glitter lovers chat! smile.gif

I would be grateful for any materials on wasps-spangles. shuffle.gif rolleyes.gif
I express my gratitude in my publications primarily to collectors. yes.gif

Papaver
Andrey, in the zoomuseum of Moscow State University there is just a sea of unassembled spangles collected by various entomologists on the territory of the USSR. Front of work-life is not enough!??? confused.gif

Well, then I will venture here from the definition of three of their suburbs to move.
Can something be clarified here?
All from here: M. O. Balashikha district, Zheleznodorozhny district (dates in file names).

Only yesterday I handed over my fresh bee collections (mattresses in two boxes) from my last trip to Khopr-Shibayev to Sergey. I asked him to look at the site and identify your sparkles, I promised.
Or maybe Papaver will help us with the definition !?

Recently, on a trip to the south-east of the Penza region, I decided to catch glitters and quite accidentally mastered a new method of trapping. Since it is terribly dry and there has been no rain since mid-May, the grass has burned out, and what is not dry has been eaten by cattle. In the evening, I decided to catch spangles by mowing (as I had quite successfully caught them earlier at their overnight stays). Alas, a modest result - in this place there were few flowering plants. I went to a dry windfall near the Kadada river (Ilim). I stood for an hour, but alas, I caught little (on the trunk there were few holes made by insects and their larvae in the dry wood). I went to the settled slopes of the right root bank of the river-along the edge of an oak grove and where I noticed small dry stumps. They had long been in a" free float " on a dry slope, burned out in the sun and most importantly were all in the moves of insects! For an hour on three stumps caught more than a dozen interesting wasps-blestyanok! And since there are dry sands nearby it is very likely that among them there will be new species for the Penza region! smile.gif

Here is last year's photo of the biotope with "free-living stumps" where I caught wasps-glitter in June of this year. Then the grass stand was immeasurably larger and there were flowering plants - but now almost everything is burned out, alas...

I attach a photo of the fees and straightening of the eardrums. And of course os-blestyanok!

Penza region, Neverskinsky district, Bikmurzino village, oak grove on the right root bank of the Kadada (Ilin) River. Protected area "Shuro-Siran". Entomologists Sergey Shibaev and Oleg Polumordvinov. We saw the French film "Microcosm" - remember it's getting late in the oak grove, so we also watch everything sink into the twilight...

Recently arrived from a trip to Khopr, the parking lot was in the village of Zubrilovo (the border of the Penza and Saratov regions). The camp was set up on the picturesque bank of the Khopra River. The dry land is terrible, but on the shore there are flowering plants and in particular bluebottle. God, how many eardrums he had, he coughed up every half hour (in the evening and in the morning). Here on matrasik is the result of the evening training camp on June 28, 2010.

July, however, is the height of the field season and not just for pereponov. We have terrible dryness and heat up to + 42 C in the Middle Volga region." There are also insects that should be here in August! What will happen in September??? Although everything is almost burned out in the sun and you don't have to wait for something special confused.gif

Sand cliffs on the dam.Talgar river. At the base of a colony of solitary wasps.Specially cleared a small area. This year, the horses were heavily podkuzmili, where the colony was in clay, in the spring it was almost completely devoured. Last year, I simultaneously observed from 20 to 40 glitter girls. Due to the lack of a special lens and flashes, I didn't get any good pictures. We had a severe cold snap in July, which is not typical for this time of year. And the Oskis behave more calmly in the cold. This year, very happy German women come across in large numbers. But there are no decent frames yet.

Does ANYONE have instances or lists of Euchroeus purpuratus capture points?
I really want to have them from time to time!

Guys in this thread recently, an amateur. Maybe someone will be interested in exchanging glitters from Belarus. Next summer, I will conduct a hard training camp. I collect butterflies myself, but I started looking at them a long time ago. If it works out, I will get something from Indonesia and definitely put up a photo! Good luck and new discoveries to all!

Oh, the summer is over... So sometimes you want to escape to the fields for insects in the off-season. Here are some photos of glistening wasps and their biotopes in the Penza region (photo by Sergey Shibaev).
1,2,3. The floodplain of the Kadada River (an ecological tent camp for schoolchildren is located in the remnant of a pine forest) - wasps are frequent visitors to the dead trees.
4 and 5. Meadow steppe-blestyanochka got ready for bed.
