I also took one at a different point - this year and last year, too, one. And this series is from a different place, where they are more numerous.

Nine new species of cuckoo wasps discovered in China:

Scientists at the South China Agricultural University have identified nine new species of cuckoo wasps during a global revision of this genus. The study, published in the journal ZooKeys, is the first conducted in China, where, unlike in Europe and North America, the cuckoo wasp genus is poorly understood. The description of seventeen species (including nine previously unknown to science) of the cuckoo wasp genus Cleptus includes morphological information and illustrations.
The revised wasp genus belongs to the cuckoo wasp family Chrysididae. The method of breeding the offspring of these wasps is parasitoid: like cuckoos, wasps sneak into other people's nests and lay eggs there. After hatching, the larvae of cuckoo wasps eat the eggs and larvae of the "hosts", and after eliminating competitors, they begin to eat food supplies. As a rule, individuals of the cuckoo wasp genus parasitize the pre-pupae of real sawflies.
Another interesting survival mechanism of cuckoo wasps is their ability to curl up in a ball in case of danger. In nature, such an amazing skill is also inherent in woodlice and armadillos.
Studying these wasps, which are also known as diamond, gold or emerald wasps for their beauty of color, is extremely important for China, says Zai-fu Xu of the South China Agricultural University. A systematic revision of the genus of these insects can not only contribute to the discovery of new species, as happened this time, but also indicate the direction of future research.

What kind is it? What kind of "cuckoo wasp genus is poorly studied"?
Then, of course, the genus Cleptus is mentioned, but it can first name the genus, and then write "this genus"

Hello!
Penzyak, as always, is not very friendly with a good tone - he "forgot" about the link.
In addition, the translation, as is often the case, was clearly not made by a biologist.
Only still the genus is Clept e s. Cleptes Latreille, 1802.

So I did it on purpose - I couldn't find the article itself, and the wasp-glitter in the photo is kind of "strange"... And the fact that the page has completely fallen into disrepair... We have something wrong with these Cleptes in our software... two types... special research is needed. Last year's rains did not produce a good catch and new species for the first time in many years.

Well, the link to the site from which the information is taken, do not give fate?
Nothing strange - quite typical of the Cleptinae habit.
This is not the worst event.
Catch (by mowing and trapping Malaise) in late spring and the first half of summer on the border of shrubs or perches with a meadow community. But, unfortunately, the catch always frightens with beggary. ©.

This view is already known from more than 15 locations... For some reason, it is more often found on the edges and clearings of pine forests, mixed forests and oak forests on sandy soil... As a shelter, it chooses abandoned nests of woody bee species...

Here is a July photo from Penza Mongolia - okr. s. Bikmurzino, protected area tract "Shuro-Siran", the place was nicknamed "Crimea" painfully similar to its coast... It's a pity the video doesn't load on the site - it was shot in that place in July 2008.

Last July, I had to catch perepon for three days (25,28,30) in a pine forest near the village of Tereshki (Ukraine, Poltava region, Poltava district). Glitters were also caught. Almost all of them, except for Parnopes grandior, were mown down from the Quercus rubra bushes, which glistened from the fall, and were sometimes found in the young pine forest.
A late report, of course, but better late than never.
If someone sees "familiar faces" among them, I will be glad to help you identify them.

Zhenya is a good catch, although you can only determine a couple of species from such photos, but in general you need to remove the end of the belly, the veins on the wings, and each one separately is desirable. And this is not a 100% guarantee of determination, you need to get pisyuni.

I'm looking for the name and photo of the umbrella shop where I caught glitters in August.
It grows on the edges of pine forests. On it sat the caterpillars of swallowtails, last year-in the mass. It looks like a bush, half a meter high. Umbrellas are white.
If anyone knows - write the name!

daukus - "wild carrot" - is difficult to confuse - in the center of the inflorescence is a bunch of dark, brown-purple flowers.

I will change for myself not the most banal glitters. In response, I am ready to catch and pick up anything special to order. Parnopesyas, khedichrums - from the middle lane are not needed.

Wonderful animals-it's a pity they don't live here... Some of these species are probably not found in Russia at all.

Hello everyone This year, I purposefully started collecting glitter wasps, because this season in the central part of Kazakhstan actually started in June.
Collections are made for colored cups and mowing, mostly in the first way, because there is no free time. The results are encouraging, in my opinion I caught a dozen new species for myself, perhaps some have not yet been described.
Here is a review of the photo fees, ahead of the whole summer I think it will surprise more than once.
