On the right side of the first photo is a hay eater.

What's the number above the picture?

the Sun continent has more crocodiles than beetles

I won't even argue! In my opinion-so it is, well, I'm all shot who flew to the lamp, and the beetles here once or twice and dwindled in comparison with others. And this is not yet in the city, there are more animals, only small butterflies fly in the city. smile.gif

If it was alive and moving, I would definitely be afraid to touch it, and even more so - to catch it. shuffle.gif How good that it was immediately dried! lol.gif

Beautiful pictures with details will be later when I set up a tripod for macro photography, so far just no time, no effort. smile.gif

Here I found it, already dried and waiting for me. True, I had been buzzing about "I want a bug!" for about ten minutes before that, but what was the result?

Thank you, it looks like a female rhinoceros beetle (Subfamily Scarabaeidae: Dynastinae)

Thanks! It wasn't, it wasn't - and here's a bug, so a bug!!! jump.gif And what a preservation of the specimen: found dead, and not a single segment on the paw is lost, not a single claw! By the way, you can take this beetle alive in your hands almost without fear: if you bite, it won't bite, unless it demonstrates its strength by resting its powerful legs on the palm - fingers. And with the definition of Vasily solashus - something from Dynastinae.

The Pentodontini Tribe

And what? If from the Dynastinae, then it looks very much like Pentodontini. May be, may be...

No, not a scarab, but a rhinoceros. But it belongs to the same family as the scarab: Scarabaeidae. But the subfamily is different: Dynastinae (Hollow beetles or rhinoceroses). Cool bug anyway! smile.gif

But at 193-196, the largest object is again something cicada-like.
