Thank you very much! I am glad to see you again on the forum.

And nightfall is the most interesting time! All the animals come to the surface.

You are welcome. smile.gif I was temporarily eaten up by Real Madrid, but I'm gradually crawling out of it and even have something to show from what I've already shot, but I'm leaving tomorrow, and I'll be back in June. smile.gif

I found a photo "turning to termite mounds" after the rains, here you can see how high the water is on the entire "termite strip", you can only get there by boat.

Termites? I've thought about it, but I need to put up a tent somewhere nearby, because in the dark on our dirt roads it's better not to ride, it's dangerous, it's better to spend the night in the bush.

Not just termites. At dusk, most arthropods come out of hiding (and not only), and during the day the tropics are almost empty - everything is hiding. This has already been noted many times. As for termites , I don't know, but they might have underground passages. On the other hand, with such a large number and size of termites, they should simply be visible when foraging!

I was looking for it, with a flashlight. frown.gif Just in the bush (in three National Parks), in the Botanical Garden, along the roads, on campsites, etc. I have never seen much activity after sunset and in total darkness, there are a lot of spiders and ants everywhere, but they can be found in large numbers during the day. Ants and very small beetles are usually caught in traps, and even more interesting specimens arrive at the light.

And I would like to! But they don't exist. frown.gif I mean, they probably exist somewhere, but I can't find them, and they don't come by themselves.

I already have the whole family jump nervously at the word "bug", because on walks I demand them to find me a bug! lol.gif

There are no beetles, so I have, excuse me, more bug larvae. They were hatched and traditionally sit on the Hibiscus tiliaceus, Malvaceae.

From the new one, there is one large spider, one beetle (like a rhinoceros), and a certain green creature vaguely similar to a praying mantis. I'll try to process it and show it in the next few days.

Eventually, the model got tired of being a model and not just a spider, and ran to the top corner of the jamb. He categorically refused to go down for further contacts, so we had to leave him alone. smile.gif
