You could try to take them "in full" and "take a picture" at home, putting lights and so on. wink.gif

I brought three pieces home, I'll see what can be done under the lamps. But they are some kind of non-photogenic, I foresee a lot of trouble with them - small and glare.

Well, here's a dragonfly larva! We urgently call Kharkovbut! Or upload a photo here: http://molbiol.ru/forums/index.php?showtopic=170973&st=1450 .

Oh, I'm going to throw in a couple of pictures. smile.gif

By the way, there were a lot of dragonflies today, just a lot. Dragonflies and grasshoppers. But it's hot in the grass, I didn't even try to chase the flyers there, I'll wait until the heat subsides and we'll go there again.

Fuuuh, well, at least there are some beetles in this Australia, not just bedbugs! jump.gif

A promising-looking but surprisingly empty swamp. I haven't scooped anyone out at all, just frogs and turtles.

And that's all, I can't say anything more about insects today, I took a lot of birds, but insects - alas. Tomorrow I'll go to the Botanical Garden with a net, there are a couple of reservoirs there, in case there is something found there. smile.gif

A couple of dragonflies from yesterday.
1: Neurothemis stigmatizans, young male.
2: Diplacodes trivialis, male.

It seems to me that this is not a butterfly, but one of the cicadas-Cicadellidae. wink.gif
However, the taxonomy of cicadas and cicadas is a dark forest for me: I do not insist on the name of the family, specialists will clarify.

Oh, exactly! There were similar creatures "from under the lamp", how could I forget!

Maybe make a separate album for them or put them with cicadas? Are they related or just called similar?

I think it is quite possible to combine cicadas with cicadas in one album. They are second cousinssmile.gif.

Everyone, it is decided, will sit in one album, maybe they will not fight!

And another question - are crickets related to cicadas?

07.04.2015 8:28, Ele-W

And again about termite mounds (I need to finish this album and my heart will calm down! :D )

Most of the magnetic blackthorn stands in an open space, as in the song"birds don't sing here, trees don't grow". And such a "bare" strip stretches in the middle of a dense green bush. I do not know why there are no trees growing there.

There are small groups of these termites in the bush. They will look somehow more fun than the gray "tombstones" on an empty lane. And the color is slightly different.

Search for termites in termite mounds. And everything that comes across.

No, crickets are related to grasshoppers, bears, locusts.

How difficult it is! shuffle.gif

I'll keep the crickets away from the cicadas for now, then I'll figure out how to put them in an album. While the album will have cicadas and cicadas.
