Kaliningrad (in a batch of sesame seeds from India), 2015
(material received from Ya. N. Kovalenko).

It is possible that beetles (1♂, 1♀) got into the batch of sesame seeds during its technical processing (for example, they arrived attracted to the light of lamps when drying). The species is quite widespread in Southeast Asia, where it is not uncommon. My collection includes additional material directly from India, as well as several copies from Thailand.

Augyles (s. str.) skalickyi (Mascagni, 1993)

Yu Turkmeniya, S. Dushak, 11-19. IV. 1988 A. Sharov leg. (call of MPGU).

The species was described from Turkmenistan, and there are also known finds of the species from Israel and Jordan. This copy is from the collection of the Moscow State Pedagogical University. I also have several copies from Turkmenistan in my collection.
