As far as I can remember, the genitive is really has one "i". Can't totally rely on my memory though, cause my last Latin lessons were school ones, so let's name it with one "i". Anyway, there are always many exceptions in the wordshaping we should consider also...

Hm, not sure also, guys, choose one. It really varies, http://www.saturniidae-web.de/Adeloneivaia%20boisduvali.htm and http://www.guianensis.fr/photos_saturniidae_2.htm, French and Germans are of different opinions, so :)

I'm also stuck, because of this simultaneousness, as there are Saturniidae as well as Saturnidae at the same time. Me and Vasily copypasted different references, so :). I vote for my version cause Latin species names usually have one "i" at the end if based on a male surname and two "i" if on a female one. But there always can be exceptions, so ... DON'T KNOW! I have two good references with one "i". Vasily has also not bad one with two "i". Mistake? Fuck knows (sorry)! Anyway, I think that's irrelevant (these tropics are soo far away).

Petr, no mistakes: I just copypasted another source.

Evgeny, if Vasily named that right, please, update.

Petr, should be two "i": http://www.nic.funet.fi/pub/sci/bio/life/insecta/lepidoptera/ditrysia/bombycoidea/saturniidae/ceratocampinae/adeloneivaia/index.

To go. Note: there Saturnidae with one "i" is in the database, not two.

04.02.2011 15:38, Evgeny Komarov This species is identified correctly.
