Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • Papilio protenor euprotenor Fruhstorfer, 1908: wingspan 100-115 mm. Male UP is black, with all veins darkened and a dark internervular streak between each pair, HW (hind - wing) with bluish dusting at distal half, a prominent white subcostal band and a red tornal spot with black in the centre. Female UP is dark brown, UpH lacks of a white subcostal band, tornal spot in space 2 with a black spot in the centre. [144].
