  • Длина тела 2,8-3,9 см, длина яйцеклада 1,8—2,6 см. Окраска разнообразна, могут встретиться и зеленые, и серые, и бурые особи, покрытые более темными пятнами. [328].

  • В отличие от Tettigonia cantans Decticus verrucivorus редко попадается сидящим на высокой траве или кустах, предпочитает низкую траву или поверхность почвы. [328].
