Из похожих внешне бабочек можно выделить медведицу желтую, а также американскую белую бабочку, отличающуюся более мелкими размерами. [85].

General info about Imago

  • Белая медведица летает по опушкам леса, закустаренным участкам и залежным землям, ночами. Как и медведица желтая, Spilosoma lubricipeda при опасности притворяется мертвой, тело бабочки изгибается, и врагу демонстрируется желто-черный рисунок на брюшке, который должен произвести пугающий эффект.
