Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

General info about Imago

  • Летает повсюду внутри ареала, особенно неравнодушна к влажным участкам местности, а также межам и полянам, опушкам лесов. Желтые медведицы активны перед восходом солнца, чем резко отличаются от большинства других ночных бабочек, предпочитающих время до наступления полуночи.С точки зрения птиц желтая медведица походит на медведицу крапчатую, а потому в том, что желтая медведица начинает летать чуть позже имеется смысл — птицы, наученные по опыту общения с крапчатой бабочкой, что употреблять ее в пищу не стоит, не так охотно покушаются и на желтых медведиц. Кроме того, в притворстве мертвой в случае возникновения опасности S. lutea также походит на S. lubricipeda. [85].
