Distribution

P. nymphula населяет Европу и Закавказье, встречается в Северо-Западной Африке и в Передней Азии. [332].

Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

Длина брюшка 2,5—2,9 см, заднего крыла — 1,9—2,4 см. [332].

General info about Larva

Личинки обитают в медленнотекучих или стоячих водоемах с густыми зарослями водной растительности. [332].

Egg

Самка откладывает яйца в подводные части растений, но недалеко от поверхности воды. При этом она изгибает брюшко и помещает яйца в надрезы стебля, сделанные яйцекладом. [332].
