Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species
- Body length: 16-27 mm. Unlike the similar species @ @ Anoplotrupes stercorosus is larger. Hind shins outside with 3 transverse keels. The top is black with a blue or greenish border, often blackish blue, the bottom is metallic. purple or blue, with black hairs. Elytra between suture and humeral tubercle with 7 point grooves. [249].
