Date and time, location shooting/catching: 2012-06-29 00:00:00, Vologda region, Velikoustyugsky district, Orlovskoye settlement, right bank of the Luza River, Tomashevo village, on the road to the Luza River.

Photographer's comment: Probably, to the great surprise of the local mongrels, I chased this butterfly around the village for almost an hour until it got tired of my importunity and flew away to the clouds.

Weeeeel... Seems this does have "eye" on its forewing! I'll add now an only pic with that. Sergey Kotov is right again!)

Should ask Alexandr for another angle of this specimen (topside), here's unclear whether this has an "eye" spot or not. If does, then it's ilia, otherwise iris. Hard to make a correct ID with such angle.
