Photographer's comment: Perhaps the most impressive view of ktyri near Moscow. It is listed in the Red Book of the Moscow Region (2nd category).: http://kkmo2.verhovye.ru/rb/bspozvon/laphria_gibbosa.php I strongly disagree with this. The fly is very common here and is constantly found in clearings, where it hunts other insects.
