Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • The body is oval-rhombic; the head is broad, with flattened eyes; the cephalotube is thin, moderately long, the flagellum of the antennae is 6-segmented; the pronotum is strongly transverse, deeply bi-concave at the base; the elytra with the greatest width in the shoulder mounds, from where it is slightly and directly narrowed to the apex; the thighs and lower legs are denticulated; the claws are denticulated, the body brown-red, pronotum on the sides and at the base of the scutellum in yellowish-white scales, the same scales cover the posterior half of the 3rd and 6th intervals and a spot on the 8th interval of the elytra.
