It lives in the mountain pine-deciduous forests. The mountain comes to a height of 1200-1300m above sea level During the period of abundant flowering plants mountain climbs up to the Alpine meadows and clearings in the area of spruce-fir taiga. [2].
Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species
- The largest species in the genus. Wingspan 28-45mm. The wings of the male top cobalt blue, with a black front fender rim width of approx. 3mm and clear large black spots in the middle area. The rear wing with a chain round spots along the edge. The female is larger, its wings wider, black and brown pattern developed stronger all the spots are larger, wide rim, up to 6 mm.The underside of the wings bluish-white with numerous black spots and spraying azure scales at the root.
