Distribution

  • Regions of the Russian Federation: the Lower Amur, Seaside, South Kuril. [3].
  • - Japan (including Tsushima Island), Korea, China, India, Sri Lanka. [204].

Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • The color of the wings is dark, black and gray. On the front and rear wings , broad, black stripes are distinguished: the median shadow and the edge of the marginal line. The line and bandages are weakly outlined, lightish; the marginal line is in the form of a series of dots; the reniform spot is dark yellow, in the form of a short transverse stroke. [204].

General info about Imago

  • Male whiskers are thickened, with a pair of bristles on each segment, the inner one shorter than the outer one. The tentacles of males are bent over the head, reaching the crown or back of the head. The forewings of males have a slightly curved anterior margin and a pattern of strongly sloping broad dark bandages. There are 13 species in the genus ( Manchurian subdistrict of the Palearctic, Oriental region), and 4 species in the Palearctic. In the Russian Far East 1 view. [204].
