Distribution
- Regions of the Russian Federation: the Trans-Baikal, the Lower Amur, Seaside, Mid-Amur. [3].

Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species
- The wingspan of less than 60 mm. Top light brown. Below on the hind wings silvery-gray patches in conjunction with leathery-yellow spots and dark brown jagged stripes give the marble pattern. Eyes are centered round white dots.The female is on top of the front wings is clearly visible leathery-yellow spots arranged in a sling from the front to the inner edge of the wings.
Species is found in three forms that differ in color underside of the rear wings.
1.In form, flying sparse dry forests and scrub, silver bright spots form only median band on the wings (Le epaminondas Std);
2. In the form, which is a common inhabitant of lowland broadleaf forest, silver spot dimmer, but the development of the entire surface of the underside of the rear wings (Le epimenides Men);
3.At last forms inhabiting the mountainous mixed and coniferous forests, the bottom of the rear wings and a darker silvery spots almost reduced (L. e. Atratus Kurenz) [128].
- The central cell of the underside of the forewings has a strongly curved dark basal stripe; its posterior end is directed towards the wing root. The main background of the wings is dark gray. [130].
