Цвет крыльев — серо-бурый, темное срединное поле на передних крыльях ограничено двумя черными поперечными линиями. Окраска бабочки может меняться — к более светлой или темной. [85].

Окраска гусеницы может сильно отличаться от особи к особи. Чаще она серо-желтая, но встречаются и синевато-черные и черно-бурые экземпляры. По телу идут красноватые бородавки и редкие волоски. [85].
